North Oxford Youth Theatre, is a volunteer run organisation and we are proudly one of the oldest youth theatres in Oxford, having been established in 1959. We take immense pride in our rich heritage.
We provide performance opportunities for children and teens aged 10 to 17, focusing not only on acting but also on creating a socially engaging environment that promotes teamwork, confidence, and self-expression. All our skilled tutors hold up to date DBS certificates, safeguarding training and first aid.
Our twice weekly classes of 40 young people blend drama and musical theatre skills with fun activities and games. Additionally, we produce two major annual shows: a summer production and a winter play. We run during term time only. We admit new members in February and September.
All funds raised directly support our members, fostering new and exciting opportunities as the team and committee are all volunteers.
